The MacRumors Show: WWDC 2023 Announced, but Will We See Apple's Mixed-Reality Headset?

Earlier this week, Apple announced that 2023's WWDC will take place between June 5 and June 9. Apple is believed to have recently shown off the headset to its top 100 executives in a "polished, glitzy, and exciting" event at the Steve Jobs Theater ahead of the device's expected announcement at WWDC.

However, reports claim that Apple employees have serious concerns about many aspects of the headset, such as its price, weight, and usefulness – questioning if the device is "a solution in search of a problem." Most recently, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo corroborated many of these worries and reported that Apple has pushed back mass production of the headset yet again and cut shipment expectations for this year, casting doubt over whether it will appear at WWDC at all.

We also discuss Apple Music Classical, iOS 17, Apple Watch blood glucose monitoring, the rumored MacBook Air with an OLED display, and Apple TV+.

The screencaps for these Mac Rumors shows don't ever pull me in. I love the content, but the screenshot doesn't work for me, personally.

Interesting there's staff and employee pushback on the headset. Those folks are right. This is a mistake for Apple to chase. Other iterations in the marketplace have really been soft sellers. Most folks I know -- including my son -- who have Oculus devices have them sitting on the shelf gathering dust. There's certainly an industrial use for augmented reality, but Apple's not really an industrial supplier.

Move on Tim. Take the loss and give the folks something they want...
Yep, but Tim has been desperate to leave his mark and this was easy timewaster stuff that analysts ate up along with Apple car. Meanwhile AI is leaving Apple in the dust. Tim will still be known for his lack of vision but excellent at milking what was already there.

So I just watched a few minutes of this video and I am amazed by how people genuinely do not understand what Classical music encompasses… How can anyone think that Opera is not Classical, I mean the guy (on the left) seems really confused about what Classical music is.
11:49 ('https://youtu.be/j-51nt83Ik4?t=709') Just weird.
Anyway, hopefully the app will help educate people what it is all about…

But it is still very strange and perplexing that there is no Classical app for MacOs or iPad.
I'm even more confused that there is a separate app for this. No other music service does this. I have Tidal, Qobuz, and Amazon Music (I don't have Apple Music), and all three have genre selections for classical with wide catalogs of content. And better than Apple Music, all three stream hi-rez content through compatible portable devices by Bluetooth or wired high-quality headphones. (My preferred device is the FiiO M11 Plus LTD through either Sony WF-1000XM4 Bluetooth earbuds or Meze Rai Penta wired in-ear monitors).

But even without the ability to stream hi-rez to a headphone device on the iPhone, why Apple doesn't just incorporate this into their current Apple Music app escapes me...

The video is probably good but I wouldn’t click on that.
